On November 14, 2024, Canada Virtuous Women (CAVIWO) fully sponsored a World Diabetes Day (WDD) program in Sabo, Kaduna State, in collaboration with the CAVIWO Women and Youths Empowerment Foundation.
Activities Included:
- Free blood sugar testing for widows
- Referrals for medical follow-up for those with high sugar levels
- Health education on diabetes prevention and management
This initiative aligned with the 2024 World Diabetes Day theme:
“Empowering Global Health”, which emphasizes the role of individuals and communities in addressing diabetes worldwide.
