On November 12, 2024, the CAVIWO Women and Youths Empowerment Foundation, with full funding support from Canada Virtuous Women, organized a poultry farming training for widows in Warri, Delta State.

A total of 86 widows participated in the session, which covered essential topics such as poultry care, feeding, and medication practices, supported by practical demonstrations using provided materials.

To ensure smooth daily operations, four widows were selected to oversee the poultry activities, with a follow-up session conducted on November 16, 2024.

The program aims to raise 200 birds, equipping widows with hands-on skills in poultry farming as a sustainable pathway to poverty reduction and job creation.
